Gentlmen,

I own a 96' gixer 750 and I am thinking about installing a gel seat and possibly a passenger gel seat or some type of gel pad. My questions are:

- Are gel seats worth it to change from the stock foam seat?

- Is the comfort that much better for $100.00+ bux?

- Whats the best gel seat company to go with should I decide to do it? (i.e.- Sargeant, Corbin, etc,,,,)

- Do they make a passenger gel seat or pad and does it make a comfort difference? I know some pads have normal padding and some are with the special gel.

Any and all advice is very much appreciated.

Thank you

I bought the suzuki gel seat for my '98, which would be the same as for your '96. I paid $120 for it about a year and a half ago.

I instantly noticed the difference and am pretty pleased. I am pretty thin anyway, so I've not a lot of natural padding - I've found the gel seat to bump up the padding enough to make even freeway drones bearable.

I have no experience with any other aftermarket seats. Sorry. I guess they may be even better based on the prices, but that's not always a reliable indicator.

I bought mine at either maw.com or compacc.com

I've heard not great things about either company's customer service, but I've never had a problem.

Or you could go down to your local Suzuki dealer and order it through them.
