I just read the blurb below in Roadracing World. For Your Information

"Honda is advising frequent oil checks for the RC51 in its motorcycle technician newsletter. The RC51 apparently burns more oil than typical motorcycles because of its low-friction piston rings."

Yes, I have heard that. Doesn't seem to be a problem with mine. I have heard the same thing about the R1s on another forum. The general consensus is that the new cylinder liners and rings are the culprits(very low friction designs). With technology comes sacrifices I guess. ;)
