I'm selling this because I just put on new clutch plates & springs which made the bike ALOT faster. and I realize it is toO fast for my first bike.

1997 tl1000s
green
36,XXX miles
yosh stainless slipons
ohlins rear shock
new clutch plates & springs
heli bars
zero gravity smoked wind screen
new ecu & clutch cable
LED blinkers in back (see pic)
seat cowl+rear seat
tank bra
tires in good shape
clean title
bla bla bla

bike runs awesome and everything was professionaly installed (previously owned by a bmw bike mechanic)

kbb.com lists bike at $4260 with average mileage (ave mileage for 97 750+ is 34500)

small golf ball sized dent in gas tank (no paint chip)
a few very small paint chips from zipper on the tank
a very small, light dent/scratch on one of the yosh's
normal wear and tare for a 97
nothing that stands out without close inspection

asking $3600

would be happy to take more pics of anything you want
I still need to get one of the tank
you can see the dent in the yosh in the third pic

I hate doing this but I need a smaller bike, I cant handle the tl.
I love it so much but I know I will hurt myself eventually. I'm looking at a 94 cbr 600 that's for sale locally :(

with all the extras that is a great deal. I know the norm on this site is to tell noobs to start small, but that looks like a bike to keep for a long time. If you had a Viper would you redline it every gear and punch it around every turn, hell no, so keep the bike under 4K RPM in every gear and you'll have a good starter bike. AND take it easy.

Of course if the reason is financial, go ahead do what you gotta do.

:2cents: :D

I don't mean to act stupid on it but it's hard not to. the smallest jerk of the throttle pops the front up. and even little things like if I'm riding with one hand because my wrist is tired, and I go over a bump it'll jerk the throttle, almost sending me off the back of the bike. I am selling it for financial reasons too. I worked at an after school program all year but now school is over and I have no job. I'm taking summer classes so no places need me for work. I'm kind of stuck in a crappy situation...
