I went for a two hour ride yesterday and found that every time I lay in to the gas my front end would start to vibrate. I would expect maybe a little since there is little weight on the front end, but this was quite violently. I checked my front tire when I got home and it looks to be cupped. I’m going to take it for another ride tonight to try to get a better feel to what is going on. What should I be looking for? I wouldn’t think my front end would be out of whack already. What do you guys think?

Do you have a front stand you can put it on the check to see if it's at least visibly straight? If it's a violent shaking like you said I don't think I'd tempt fate by trying to get it to do it again. I've heard tank slappers are not much fun.

Nope no front stand. What would cause the tire to cup? I know it alignment on cages, but not sure on bikes.
