Freeway incident

Today on my way home from work I was almost taken out my an aggressive driver! I was just cruisin home not speeding or passing (stayed in one lane the whole way home). I saw that a guy in a truck was ridin my tail and then backing backing off and then on my tail again. Finally as the road cleared of more cages this guy tries to push me out of the lane by coming on the side of me in my lane and scooting me over. I gave the a one-fingered salute and sped up to where I was to begin with. The guy speeds up with me and almost hits the back of the car in front of us. I turned to him and shrugged my shoulders, his reaction was to wave me off like he wanted me to get out of his way. I was pissed-off  ! I think people like him should have their cages crushed right in front of them and then have their arms and legs broken so they are imobile for awhile. I should have got his plate number and turned the motherfu( shut yo mouth ) in. I'm tempted to buy a cage myself so I can be safe from agressive morons like him.

On the local news some trucker rear ended a Harley in a fit of road rage. The rear wheel of the Harley was stuck under the rig still standing up. I don't know how the rider faired. I guess if some cage has road rage, if you give them the finger, stay well away or speed up. Didn't these F^%$ers take driver's ed and learn that vehicles don't share the same lane!!

Sadly our beautiful state of Arizona doesn't require drivers ed, in fact its not even offered in schools, you have to pay $200.00 to take it privately. And they will give a licence to anyone. I saw a guy that couldn't even see the first line on the eye chart and they handed him a licence.

I should have got the plate number and turned the F* er in instead of flipping him off. This is about the 2nd or third time this has happened to me. People here can't drive.

I used to be a LOT more aggressive towards other drivers' stupidity until I started riding. Once I realized no matter who is right I am the one who will get hurt, I became very tolerant. They may have bent sheet metal, I'll have bent body.

Preferring avoidance instead of teaching someone a well-deserved lesson has now become my driving style, both on the scoot and the car.
Not to mention, it ruins your trip if you have to stop and fill out police reports, go to court, etc if an accident occurs. I would rather spend that time riding.

Do not forget that you are gonna lose any fight with a cage.

I hate them as much as anybody else but watch the single finger salutes. All it takes is one quick, violent swerve and they will be picking you up with a spoon.

So next time, salute and then haul ass.

Just kidding of course.

Cage is no guarantee that you won't get taken out when dealing with an idiot like that. Definitely get the license # and call police as soon as possible. Dude could be wanted for something else or be evading the law and you could help put the chase back on. Could also be that you are the complaint that pushes police over the edge to bust his ass. Tell them you couldn't tell "exactly" but you thought you saw a person bound in duct tape in the passenger seat... Or follow them safely. When they pull over, make your call to police.

When I'm driving down the freeway, and I get tailgated, I usually just move over & let them go by. Not because I'm a more forgiving guy than any of you, but because nothing beats driving down the road at 90 knowing that you won't be caught by the cops because there's someone up ahead of me going 100.
There's only 2 kinds of drivers - idiots & maniacs. Idiots are everyone who drives slower than I do, and maniacs are everyone who drives faster!!

I want to second the post referring to www.squidlys.com.

Even though I would NEVER advocate doing anything even marginally illegal (ahem), I like the idea of the 1oz fishing weights........
