No disrespect to women in general, but why the hell must some of you drive to work during rush-hour in the morning and attempt to apply makeup at the same time? So, Im on my way to work this morning and IT finally happens. The women in front of me decides her mirror and face are more important than what is in front of her. She slams into someone doing about 40 mph and I slam into her......go figure. She steps out of the car with half of her face covered in makeup then looks at me and the person driving the car that she hit as if it were our fault.......makes me sick  .

Well, not to be a dick, but it is your fault for hitting her. It's her fault for hitting the person in front of her though. You can't control what she was doing, but you could have given yourself room to get out of that situation.

I agree though, it's annoying to see people doing things other than driving. I've seen them put on makeup, read (books and even have the whole damn newspaper spread over the wheel), screw around with their radio, cigarettes, cell phone, etc. The list of annoyances goes on and on.

Are you ok?

Of course she's going to look at you guys like it's your fault. Know why? Because the type of woman that would put on her makeup in RUSH HOUR traffic is the kind that cares way too much about her appearance and is oblivious to anyone else and therefore is most likely a self-centered, pretentious CUNT. You should've stayed in your car and had them call the ambulance because you "hear a pop in your neck". That's instant money right there...enough to sue the shit out of that bitch. That crap makes me mad because I hate women that don't allot enough time in the morning to put on their precious makeup so instead, endanger the lives of hundreds of other people they encounter on the road that morning.

EDIT: Not targeting women in general for this. Generally speaking, men and women both do some stupid sh*t while driving. I just see more women being stupid than men where I live. :2cents:

To come to sisqo's defense in this. Technically YES it is his fault. But at 40 MPH, this lady was most likely tailgating to rear end the person. The point is when a vehicle traveling 40 MPH, which - generally speaking - is slow, the reaction time for Jason to swerve or brake in time would have to be that of Superman...even if he is 4 car lengths away from this lady(1 car length for every 10 MPH).

I personally don't see how you could've avoided it...certainly not by braking.

Distance. I've never rear ended anyone and I generally try to keep about two seconds between me and the person in front of me. Again, I'm not trying to be a dick, just calling it like I see it. This was an avoidable accident, IMO.

I guess Rob is the only person around here that understands:rolleyes: .

Its going to cost almost a 1K to replace the trunk lid of a 2003 Dodge Neon.......I cant believe it! I offered to pay it in cash rather than go through insurance and the women that I rear-ended seems to be OK with it, does anyone have any recommendations on some place cheaper than a dealership? Maybe some kind've aftermarket company or something?

Well, I would just call every shop in town. Find one that will install used parts, or aftermarket parts. If you can talk her into it... go with Cert-a-fit body parts. They are like tinfoil!!! But cheap as heck!

I had this old toyota pick up that I beat the crap out of. I did a full front clip on the truck with Cert-a-fit. Cost me 200 bucks for all the body parts, hood, fenders, inner fenders, bumper, grill, headlight tirm, radiator support. Looked great, but don't lean up against it!

Do you have a web address for your recommendation??

Just go around to all the autobody shops in town. They'll find you a part, paint and install (maybe not in that order) and usually cheaper than the dealer.

Or you can go to a pick-n-pull place, yank a lid, and hand it over to the shop for them to finish it off.

And no comment on the 'who's at fault' thing. It's been said.

I am not sure where the accident took place, but here in Colorado if we have a 15 car pile up I-25. The last person in the line is getting a fat ticket, and he gets to claim 14 accidents on his insurance.

Following too close, and unsafe speeds for road conditions/traffic will get you fucked in a hurry here. Bottom line- Scott is right and you have no one to blame for the accident other than yourself. A good safe distance is taught as a "3-second" rule if the road conditions are ideal, or 6 seconds if the road is bad.

Remember an average car with good brakes will travel 250 ft before coming to a complete stop at 55 mph.

:2cents:

I sympathize with your accident, but I will never candy coat advise, or pat you on the back and lie to you for screwing up.:twofinger

Thanks for the honesty John:thumb: . I never posted this with intentions on getting patted on the back. I know who technically was at fault here. I posted this because it makes me sick to see shit like this all the time......people doing idiotic things while driving when they should be paying attention. Women putting on lipstick and mascara while they are driving-Men-Carelessly hauling ass because they are late to get somewhere-Women-bitching on the cell phone about a recent divorce or brake up they had......the list goes on and on and all of this foolishness leads to the same shit that happened to me today. Once again, I DO NOT NEED NOR WANT SYMPATHY, all I want is to vent the way I am now and bring a fuck up to light that numorous people make on a daily basis that can be avoided with common sense:2cents: .l

I hope your bike falls apart:mad: ...........:D
Your WAY too late for that one. My bike weighs in almost 50 pounds below stock, because of all the things that have broken off, or have broken and been removed.

Search for all my posts and read up someday... My bike has had a rough life. Its all track prepped and pretty now, but it was a rat bike for the last 2 years.
