I have a question for Y'all I have a '95 vfr and was woundering what choice do I have for going to a wider rear tire using the standard factory rear rim? Neighbor here has a F4 and his rear tire is substantally wider then mine, ans i want the wider tire for better cornring. Any info would be greatly welcomed,.

The stock 170 rear is the widest tire that can be mounted on the stock 5.0 rim. It may be possible to mount the VFR800's 5.5 and a 180, but I don't know whether the clearance, offset, and bolt pattern are compatible.

And a wider tire won't improve cornering. In fact, in may slow turn-in. Some literbike riders are downsizing from a 190 to a 180 rear to improve steering.

dan's right,

i had a 180 on my 94' VFR when i bought it,
i went down to a 170 & it was much more flickable,
if it's just for looks put the 180 on it, otherwise go with the 170,
shit i'd put a 150 on my bike if it made it handle better :D
