I need to replace the stock exhaust, and would appreciate some advice on what slip-on exhausts would fit the best following criteria on a '99 CBR600 F4:

Improve ground clearance, as the stock is huge and bulky, too quiet for my taste (even compared to stock exhaust of SV650).

Clear up some back space, as the stock can makes it difficult to change rear tire or maintain rear brake.

So I need something that improves ground clearance and much lighter than the stock can, and if I pick up a bit deeper and louder note, even better.

Would be good if I can get some few HP gain, low-end, mid-range, or top-end, wherever, and with the weigh reduction compared to stock exhaust, I'm going to hope it's noticeable.

And it has to be a good bargain. Satos, Akros, and Aratas are too expensive and I don't they make slip-ons for my bike anymore.

Oh yeah, good quality and not obnoxiously loud.

And ease of tuning, I hope I don't have to change the jets, just replace the can and go.

Thanks.

i just bought a 02 954 and it already had a jardine rt one, i know it is not the most expensive one out there but it seams to work good on the 954 has a good sound, not sure if it adds hp probly not as most slip ons dont. they probly make a jardine that will fit your bike and at a resonable price.

Everyones preferance.. I cant stand jardines.. Way too loud..

Best bang for the buck would prolly be 2 bros.. Thats what i had on my f4i.. Loved it..

Hindle on my 954.. They both were cheap but quality built..
Nother thing is that they werent annoyingly loud..

Both just bolt ons..

What more can ya ask for..

I've read that article a few times, mostly concentrated on RC51. Though it can be applied on my bike, but I'd appreciate something little more specific. Reading that, I've come to conlusion that Yoshi would be good, but what else, I'd like 2 or 3 more options at hand if something doesn't work. Thanks.

Mainly I was looking for the size of Two Bros and D&D, but with the qualities and power of high-end exhausts.

Which would yield the best boost of power and reducation in weight: Yoshimura, Erion Racing, or Leo Vince?

As far as RR's go Arata is pretty much best bang (As far as HP and weight) you're gonna get... and the new 6 sided can they have should give you a little better ground clearance... I'm not sure about the horsepower numbers for an F4i though.

Edit - Stupid me... old thread :(

I'm positive I don't have the best slip-on for power, but I like the look, mounting position and size of my oval V&H SS2R. Sounds nice too. I'll also admit that the biggest draw and best advantage to it was the $$$. I realize my F3 is a different bike, but it's rather similar. I've seen the SS2R on a few F4's and it mounts about the same, fairly high and tucked in nicely.
