Does everyone get discouts form there local dealership? Just wondering because I always get 30% off retail price on parts, and they say they normaly don't do that, but since I ride with them and they know I had nothing to do with the damage to my bike they try to "hook me up". Just wondering if there is any truth to that or the guys are just feeding me a line so I don't feel like I got ripped off when ever I buy a part.

No discount for me. Don't ride with any shop members (yet) either. Unless it says "sale" on it, I pay what they ask.

You imply that someone damaged your bike. Was it someone from this shop? That may be your answer.

My dealer gives discounts for folks who have bought bikes from him. Before I buy anything I check things out in catalogs and the net to see what the going rate is. Then I tell my dealer what I want. Sometimes he is out of line sometimes he is better. If he is below or close to what I have found elsewhere then I buy it from him. If he is out of line then I buy it elsewhere. I like to support the local guy as much as possible.

Too many curves...so little time
My dealer gives me 25% off. And I just come in and pay some or all of the bill every month.
In house credit comes in handy when you need stuff but don't have the money. :D :D

If your getting 30% off stock parts, consider yourself a lucky man... Your basically getting them for cost as the margin of mark up isn't that high as on afermarket stuff... At least not were I work... It's all realitvely the same...

I used to get parts at dealer cost plus 10% from a dealer in VA, about half of list price. They would match or beat any advertised prize for me. At the time I was buying over $1,000 a year in parts. My local honda dealer in NC will not give me any discount even though I told him if the price was right I would buy all my parts from him. Now I mail order Honda parts from Comp. Acc. or Ron Ayers Motorsports both are obut 30% less than local prices including shipping. I have also bought from Western Honda.

thanks for your feedback, now I know I'm working with some good people. I figured I was getting deals but when you spend $1,049.00 for a new R1 frame, your like damn thats a lot of money for a piece of aluminum, but I guess when I think about it thats a fair price.
