I went for a short ride last night. I was nearing a state park with some nice curvy roads; only had a Cadillac and then a Tercel(an old one)in front of me. The Caddy turns off, so I think I'll just pass the Toy and have a clear shot at the twisties. But then the guy starts speeding up and before I have a chance to pass, we hit the beginning of the park. He's about 4 car lengths ahead of me as we go into the first set of turns marked at 30mph; we take them at 70. I couldn't believe he was able to stay on the road, let alone in the right lane without flipping the car. I was pretty impressed as I was leaned over pretty far. This continues as we hit a straightaway; he hits 80, I follow. Another turn, marked 25, taken at 60. Finally he turns off on a side road, so he must live in the area and be very familiar with the road. I gave him a honk and a wave as I continued on. The kid was actually a decent driver, so I had to give him some credit.
I had to turn around at the end of the road(about 5m)and ride it again, turn around, ride it again. Can't let those Tercels embarrass me
I guess this proves it's all in the driver, and not necessarily the vehicle.
