I was removing the tarp off my bike today when it got hung under my right side front signal. being as though the damn thing is only connected to the fairing with a thin piece of rubber it snapped halfway off. Now my signal is hanging (and I do mean hanging) on by about a half inch of rubber. Is there an easy way to fix this?

Do you think MSF offers a tarp removal class?

If that's a Kawasaki, they are made to pop out of their mount hole without breaking things....... sometimes.;) With just the old tarp catch & pull, this should be one of those times.:D

Let the dealer do it for you if it's not evident but as I recall, you loosen the bolt in the metal spreader found on the back but do not remove it. Leave it all in place, install it from the inside and pull it out until the rubber grommet snaps into the groove. Then tighten the bolt that pulls up on the metal spreader, expanding the grommet to hold it in place. You may need to remove some stuff to get access.

Anybody else that can add to this, please do. It's been a while since I've done one and my description details may have some errors or ommissions.

No, the rubber is torn. It didn't pop out of the mount hole, its torn right in the middle. Like someone was cutting it off with scissors and stopped 3/4 of the way before cutting it completely off. Does this make sense?
