Cost to society
I found an interesting statistic at this link:

It compares the cost to American society caused by non-helmet wearing accident victims vs. a variety of other things. While I religiously wear a helmet, I am opposed to helmet laws. This should put to rest the argument that no helmet laws will cost society too much $$$. I bet the cost (money and opportunity cost) to enforce those laws are at least as high.
