Interesting to see the thought process of some police officers out there...

I didn't have the time to read the whole thing. But your right, it is a great read.

I just wish we could give (or I wish I knew how to) citizen arrest tickets to the fucking retards. Like the two knuckle heads I saw poping wheelies on Hall road in traffic, and when they came down they had to split cars to keep from crashing into them.

They did it like 8 or 9 times. I was riding with an officer at the time and he was looking at me with the "Hey, those are your People!" LOL

I told him if they would have caused an accedent or whiped out I would have stopped and just laughed at them.

I'm not saying I haven't done stupid things. Shit, most of you have video of it. But keep it in a place that you only will hurt yourself.

Docs link has a plethera of knowledge for us to take in...right
from the mouths of the people that give us tickets. However,
listen to what the majority of them say. When they pull us over,
they size us up and our first impression is everything. Minding
our manors, being polite, and "yes sir, no sir" attitudes set their
demeanor.

They go on to say they aren't going to TARGET bikes that are
properly tagged...ie a visible license plate, good tires, and
riders that have FULL protective gear on. They TARGET Squids.

Chew on this...
During the past two years ago I was stopped three times and
All counts dismissed on the spot.
When I was stopped, each time I had on boots, jeans, leather
jacket, gloves and a full mask. I kissed a$$ and was fortunate
enough to walk away.

I think REDLINE riders will be fine.

I have read that before and the first officer who posted is from Georgia. I am not sure where in Georgia he is located.

However, the remark from the cop in Miami is pretty telling where he states that the sportbikers always run from the cops because they know that 90% of the time, they can get away.

That sets a bad precident in many people's minds.

I am sure that we all know or have seen squids and squidly behavior out and about. As in so many areas, we are judged by the behavior of others.

While it is not a good thing for the police to prejudge riders, it is pretty much a standard reflex and as we know, some in the world of sportbike riders, tarnish all of us with their actions.

However, that being said, I do not like to hear about how police can be crappy to us, just because we ride a certain bike or look a certain way.

I guess those of us who get popped by the cops now and again have to be on our best behavior, just to show that not all of us are squids.

Thats about the reaction I expected to hear from cops... but not the one I wanted to hear. It just like the rest of the world, everyone remembers the retard wheeling in traffic, but not the guy that stops to help him when he wrecks. But I agree, kissing butt helps alot to get outta a ticket:D

It still irks me that hd guys get to run straight pipes without hassle or barley legal choppers without hassle, and we run aftermarket slip-ons and get the book thrown at us by cops.

now, i'd like to offer a little bit of paramedic perspective on this subject.I know in my years on the job i've seen ALOT more idiots in cars getting killed or seriously injuring themselves or others. The simple fact is anything can be dangerous in the hands of the wrong person, a car, gun, lawnmower, hell even q-tips.Just don't ride like an [email protected]# and 9 out of 10 times police will be cool with you too.Just my opinion
