There is truly nothing better than taking a sunday out to ride the rocky mountain twisties. If there is anyone out there from denver/springs you know the feeling. Anyway my point for this thread, If anyone in denver wants to hook up with a couple of us on sundaysto ride the rockies drop me a line. Later!!

Just don't get it guys, damn to have a brand new R1 and go out and throw it on the ground, what to prove your manhood, how sad!!

I sure hope your friend is gona be ok and lives to ride another day. It's ok to have fun and carve some great Colorado roads but on the street ride at 7/10ths. of your skill as you always need reserve with all the hazards, you won't find on a race track. I guess it's not so bad to be "old and not worry about being the "fastest" rider , it's a lot less painfull than being in a hospital!!

Take care, Ride Safe but have FUN!

Tanner261, sorry didn't mean to come off sounding like a "preacher", LOL I couldn't ride as good as most of you on my "best day"! :)

Just hate to see the waste of a great bike and surely hate to see anyone hurt!! Have you ever heard of the CRA (Canyon Riders Assocition), there out of northern CO. and have a slick website. Very professional looking and sounding riding group from what I read and saw on their site. Maybe you and your main group might want to check them out.

Hell, you guys are way above me, I can't afford full leathers (disability), ride in a padded leather jacket, with full face helmet but I'm still wearing blue jeans or straight cut leather pants and riding a 20 year old bike too boot, LOL!

Take care, Ride Safe but have FUN!

Here's the last URL I have for the Canyon Riders Association:

http://www.dimensional.com/~bctf1/cra.htm

I'd send them an e-mail off the site, it might not be "active" anymore. Too bad someone wouldn't start a "first class" sportbike organization here in Colorado Springs.

Chris, getting your "riding fix" is fine, throwing your R1 on the ground is BAD! Repeat after me:

Ride good, Ground bad, Ride good, Ground bad.

LOL :)

Take care, Ride SAFE but have FUN!
