I work with a lot of Harley riders and they always talk about using something called Mothers Metal Polish or something. I guess it's supposed to make 'em shine really nice.
My Dad always uses semi chrome and to wash it i think he uses (please help me if i am wrong) SJ100. Also If your chrome is'nt that dirty I use a wading polish by Eagle 1 it looks like fiberglass insulation in a can and you just rip a piece off it and it already has the polish in it works great.
I just use a microfiber cloth. It does a great job. I dont use any solvents or any anything, just the cloth. But I try not to let my bike get that dirty.
American Racing Wheel makes a great Chrome cleaner (gets out oxidation and other chrome damaging elements) and then apply a wax to it to protect...........chrome blings after that application
