Hi kingman-

And what exactly does your post have to do with motorcycles or the great sport of motorcycling? You join SBW today and this is the first thing you have to say? Be off with you, trollboy!

Hi RoadstainR6-

Can I send "kingman the troll" this message on your behalf? I figured you would be OK with it:

I can do one better, I can find his ip address, hack into his network and erase his hardrive, after I subscribe to a bunch of overpriced porn sites with his credit card number that I dig up in his registry files of course. Maybe its about time that I put my old hacking skills to use again for the good of man kind....:thumb:

I'm gonna call :bs: on this one.

Since this is the only place that you know of this user, SBW is the only place to get his IP. So unless you're a mod or an admin, you'd have to hack into SBW server first. I don't think they would like that too much.

But let's say that the hacking gods are in a good mood today, and you do get his IP. He could have dialup internet, which means his IP changes every time he logs on. Or, being the clever and experienced spammer that he is, he might have done all this stealthily through a proxy. So you'd then be erasing an innocent person's hard drive. He could also have posted this from a computer other than his own... like the local library's or something. Point being, even if you do get his IP, you can't really be sure that it's *his*.

Moving on... The hacking gods are not only in a good mood, but have blessed you with good luck, and the guy has a DSL or cable... or is even part of a T1 network or something. Chances are that he's behind a router. So you'd be seeing the router's IP, and not really his. Yea yea, there are ways to get around it, but you'd have to be pretty damn skilled to do that. Especially if this guy is in a big company's network, the security would be tight as your asshole going into a turn on the twisties too hot. :)twofinger).

Basically, it's not as easy as you make it sound. Seriously thinking, why would anyone from home who doesn't know jack about computers put up that kinda spam? It's illogical. This guy's trying to benefit some one for some reason, and is likely protected. Soooooooo... to sum up, not only would you have to be lucky, but very very skilled to hack his computer, steal his credit card number, and erase his hard drive. Not a likely thing to happen. Nice try though. And hey, who knows... people do win the lottery.

Unless your IT department is on crack, you should be ok.

........so you're saying I have a chance..lol:D

oh well, you're right, It would be a lot of trouble going through with the hundreds of steps involved in hijacking a comp. and then there is always the problem of him/them finding me even though I usually ghost when online. And I would never touch a fellow friends server just to benefit myself...unless they gave me permission. Plus I don't have time to go to the library which is where the best hacking is done...seriously, they have top of the line equip. there!!

Either way there is no way to prove who did this UNLESS the idiots worked in an office with unsecured video surveillance cams(which is VERY common) watching there employees. The cams would most likely run on the same network/server/i.p. address as the computers and that way I could just pull up their log files and time match them with kingmans original post which is stated here. -02-26-2006 09:37 AM. - Only way this is possible is if they are on a highspeed stactic i.p. connection though and Yes, they would definetly be on a router/hub, but all comps. have sub addresses behind the i.p. address to make them unique. This number is stored in the router or server and is recorded everytime a conntection is made or stopped. Otherwise only one person at a time would be able to use the router. And I would have to act soon because even stactic addresses change. Only problem is that sub address is NEVER displayed passed the router, meaning sbw doesn't even have it. They just have at best the main ip and that, like you said, could and is most likely proxyed. All though it is completely possible to ping the proxyed address and get a somewhat accurate i.p. address return...

Then there are the two or more firewalls I would have to work past( router, and then the actual computer firewall.) if I ever did get a hold of their address. And if i'm really unlucky kingman is using a ghosting service of some kind which means that SBW doesn't even have the correct proxy address let alone their true i.p. address if they were stupid enough to have it un-encryped.

oh well, guess I'll just have to wait for karma to catch up with the spammers of the world.:twofinger

Not that I got anything against subscribing trolls to over priced porn, but if you are going to hack his shit, maybe you should brag about it.

Hopefully no one pointed this out before, for I cannot read the hacking posts. I'm allergic to "IP" showing up more then once in a paragraph.

I have to apologize. I didn't mean to turn this into a hacking post, it's just that spam really pisses me off and it's usually a fun target for hackers. That being said, If I was going to actually hack mr king you guys wouldn't have even seen me post a reply in this thread. I'm simply making an example out of him so hopefully (not likely) he will read it in the future and know that someone could show up at his office/house the next day asking him "kindly" to stop the spamming.:thumb:

How about we just do it the old fashioned way. You new-fangled haxx0rs can secure his home address, then Vash and I can pay him a visit.
