I recently installed a Regina chain & sprocket set. Price was good, I 've got no complaints...Previously, I've always used Tsubaki Sigma. Pricier, but a long-lasting, very strong chain.

The chain and sprocket kits at Sprocket Center seem reasonably priced.

For my bike a RK XSO x-ring chain and AFAM steel sprockets runs about $160. You can also get a DID gold x-ring chain with same sprockets for about $20 more. Aluminum rear sprockets add about $30 if I remember correctly.

The prices I mentioned were for a 530 chain/sprocket set...

Can't really comment on quality or life though, this will be my first change from (I assume) the originals at just a tick under 15K miles.
