I just ordered a vented CF Clutch cover from Motowheels for my 2002 Ducati 748 and was just wondering if it is simple to install? I would think so but have had a CBR and an 01 YZFR1 in the past and am unfamiliar with the dry clutch set-up. Any suprises? or just on and off?

Thanks, I was concerned that there may be more to it than just a "cover" like I found out when I replaced my CBR cover. I bought the vented type that is kevlar reinforced, claimed stronger than the factory. I just like the look, and the open sound of the dry clutch. Vanity is a bitch.

Curious about vented clutch covers

If you use vented clutch covers do you have to worry about dirt and water getting inside and screwing things up? Just seems to me your opening the chest on a patient and making it easier to get an infection. I can't imagine dirt being a good thing.

the cover just doesn't go right on.you need some washers for spacers between the cover and case so it doesn't hit when you pull in the clutch.may be late for info, but better then never.
