OK I just got the Alternator replaced in my 98 ST2. I checked the output at the battery and it is good. 13V at idle and 14.4 at 3000RPM or thereabouts. My problem is that when I am riding my Low Batt Light comes on. It only is on from 0-2000 rpm and then it comes on again at 4500RPM till redline. What should I check? Or should I just unplug the light?

I had a problem like that not to long ago on my 748. Some Ducatis have a wireing harness problem that pulls on the wires just under the triple tree at the base of the frame, the wires are stressed when the handle bars are turned from full lock to full lock. After a few years the wires to the gauge cluster become loose or wear on metal parts and short out (mine was a short to the rear brake light and horn). Check the wires that come from your faulty light to see if they are worn or loose. Good luck, electrical problems can make you want to pull your hair out.:crying:
