No lockup problems but lots of dragging, went through four rotors before I found the cause. Bike is a '00 M2, brake system is 6 piston Nissin. Turns out the master cylinder (also Nissin) is not vented very well. If you combine a full to the top with brake fluid master cylinder and very agressive mountain riding you will generate a enough heat and corresponding pressure to cause the brake to drag. Result is dragging brake and warped disc.
Cure is simple, maintain brake fluid level near lower mark and remove the anti chatter spring from the caliper. After replacing the warped rotor of course.
Everybody knows(will now) to change your brake fluid in both mastercylinders once a year... The fluid gets "CONTAMINATED" from use(DIRTY) and under heavy use gets "HOT"... FORD put plastic pistons in their calipers and with age or heat would not release..
The same thing can happen with any caliper...
