The last time we were talking about how to build stuff on land and the steps surrounding it. Your thoughts please?

The block of flats beside mine are due to be torn down in these couple of months. mY nlock is a new one they have built.

They are old blocks which I think have crossed either the 20 or 30 year old mark.

They said that they are going to tear the blocks down and build a condo at the same site.

My question is whether or not they can build on it straight away or do they have to let he ground settle or somehting like that?

I tried searching for answers on my own but did not know really whre to start as I know shite when it comes to stuff like this and more or less ervything else.

Its just that I want to know for how long am I gonna live in a dust bowl with the tearing down and possibly building up straight after....or will there be a gap in between?

Yes we all have enough trouble with the latest billy gates version let alone the step that tangerine made from the abacus to MS DOS.

I feel a bit sorry for you Wolverine...it's turning into a battle of wits ...and you're completely unarmed :twofinger

Truth is the faster they build the better. As the building is torn down the ground will "unload" itself from years of compression. The idea is to build on it asap so the new building doesn't have to go through a "settling" period. Problematic here as they use Indonesian sand ;) and tooth paste for plaster.

If you see how quick they tore down the place down the road from Boycie and rebuilt i don't think you have too much to worry about.

If you plan to go to PG anytime soon please let me know. I haven;t seen a live gravel trap excusion for ages and to be honest BC's a bit of a let down in the gravel sky gravel sky gravel sky ambulance stakes:thumb:

Received a notice from them saying thatthe tear down will take about 3 - 6 months. Its a 12 storey building. Gonna expect a lot of dust and debris I guess. Fark.

And if they build on it straight away, then I am just gonna be living in a dust bowl for the next coupla of years considering the fact that it takes forever to build condominiums.

but thanks for the info anyways. Looks like I will be able to carry of a decent conversation over dinner with the wife tonight instead of telling her the usual about how much of a big penis my mates think I am.

As for PG, I don't think BC would like me to assume his throne. Everyone ahs his off days I guess.

After all, I would like to maintain my position as Chief So Slow That Everyone Overtakes Twice In One Lap Banana Bike Lesbian Big Penis Boy.

When I do head down, I will call ya......could still do with pointers now....
