I know it's been said before but it's worth saying again. Beaver Run is incredible, track is smooth, fast, tires stick very good, new pavement is wonderful. I spent 2 days there this weekend and could not get enough of it. I can't wait ti get back there, it's a 5 hour ride for me but worth the trip. The track is the only thing there right now besides port-a-johns, but building and bathrooms are going up as we speak, once that is done it' will be a even better.

Nice to meet you Dad, it was great talking to you, sorry it could not have been longer and glad you had a good time there and look forward to seeing you and everyone else there next time.

I posted this on the Pittsburgh thread too but thought I should add it hear.

They're going to have a "sighting " lap this Sunday at Team Pro-motion's track day at Beaverun. That means they'll take you around for a few laps, maybe 5 or 10, with a lead rider setting the pace. They did that last time and he increased the pace to about 85 MPH on the straights according to one of my buddies who rode it. The nice part is, they didn't charge for it and you didn't need full leathers. No taping lights or removing mirrors either. I think they wanted a jacket, jeans, boots, gloves, and helmet as a minimum. It's a chance to get out and get some sense of what the track is like without really lettin' it rip. On their web sight, they said 9:00 sharp for the ride, so you should get there about 8:30 for time to get signed up and sign the release forms that are required to go out on the track. If you like it, I'm sure they'll set you up with the class, tape up your bike and off you go!

For any of you who are a little apprehensive about getting out there, I'm a 49 year old with a '90 vintage bike, 60,000+ miles on it, and had a ball! I realize blasting around a track is an old man's sport, but I'll bet some of you kids would enjoy it.;) :D
