Who is using a back protector and what kind. I am looking at getting one and need useful comments please. I don't care for the Dainese so any info on others would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ... Lee

Lee:

All my gear has soft armour so I am no help...sorry.
Some brands I have seen advertised are:
Bohn Body Armor @ http://www.actionstation.com
I see "SRS" advertised in the ad for Chaparral in the Nov.2000 issue of Motorcyclist.
Not much, but,I hope it helps ya!!:)

The Bohn protectors are nice and I have a combined back and chest protector named D-Tech and sold by LockhartPhillips. It is a little on the heavy side and slightly bulky but you definetly feel protected. Combine one of these protectors with a nice leather or synthetic suit with elbow, shoulder, and knee/shin armor and you got yourself some good protection.

Good luck and post your decision,

Marc

Fieldsheer has one for $70.00 and it's a 6 pc. unit. The Dainese version looks like a Ninja Turtle. The Vanson one is nice but very expensive and looks to off lots of protection. Look at spending about $160+ for one of those babies.
