After coming home from the drive-in, last night, I checked my mailbox, and found the last bolt I ordered was in. Even though It was after 12:30am and I had put in a full day, I couldn't sleep until I put my bike back together. The whole bike was laid up because I had to drill out the brake hanger bolt in the right/front caliper. (too much loctite/heat/time)finally had it all back together by 3:00am, and gave it a quick test spin up and down the street, nice and easy of course, it was 3 in the morning. After getting a few hours of sleep, I took a ride up to Auburn, which is about 12 miles south of Pottstown. For those who don't know, it's home to Yuengling brewing company. What a HUGE difference ALL the new parts made. I replaced both tires, front rotors, pads, SS brake lines, and a 90/100 ion white bulb. I have to say I am very pleased with how nice the brakes feel...No pulsing, no fade, and no buzzing. The ion bulb is real neat too!!It's cool to actually be able to see at night. You know, I thought I was going to be a little rusty after not riding, but I guess all the "cross training", I was doing with my moped, kept me on top of my game.
Ya mopeds are great exercise. My cardio has really improved. Up here we take two nights a week and leave our bikes at home. Then head out and chase them little scooters with sticks.
Speaking of scooters...My father and brother-in-law rode up to Sturgis last week and then decided to see the real party over in Huelett WY. Anyway, my brother was on a Honda Shadow ACE and my dad had the audacity to ride up on his Honda Helix 250. So they're getting ready to leave and lots of people are blocking off the parking area, walking around, etc..so my dad starts honking his little horn at the people, for like five minutes, just beep, beep, beep!! You know, trying to get folks to move! I guess some Harley mamma had enough and got right in Dad's face! My brother said it was the funniest thing he'd ever seen: some fat old Harley lady threatening to kick my father's ass. I haven't heard my dad's side of the story yet. I'm sure it's a doozy!

I wouldn't be so paranoid if you all weren't out to get me.
