This is a large clip (50 megs - about 5 minutes long) but worth checking out. 56k modem users, sorry it will take over 2 hours to download. I get it in 4 minutes on a cable modem. It's a tank view of a lazy Sunday ;) last year. Nothing too crazy stunt wise but for anyone who thinks stunters can't corner well I'm here to say you're wrong.

Interesting point of fact, this was recorded on an analog camera, imported digitally on one of my PCs with a Rainbow Runner capture card. Edited using Ulead Media Studio and then Converted to DVD format using Ulead DVD Movie Factory. The .MPG is actually in DVD format and will play on DVD players if the file is burnt to CD.

I'm not making excuses, however understand that both front and rear suspension at the time of filming (last year) were completely smoked and that this was more of an experiment than a planned performance video...

Feedback appreciated...

The most reliable way to get this video is to right-click the link and "save target as" to your local hard drive - then play it

I think your ISP shut this down, dude. No linkie workie.
I just downloaded it myself.

Did you right-click and then "Save Target As" to your local hard drive?

My ISP didn't shut it down b/c I'm not hosting it ;)

If you are hosting from home, how do you get such high BW uploads? I'm dl'ing this at 43 KBps, that's pretty fast.

I'm not hosting it actually. Coy, cmd954 - THE MAN!!! is hosting it for me. I'm pretty sure he is running a T1. I was bringing it down at 150 KB/S when I tested it.

Good call, it's actually the lens cap :D This was the first time I tried this method. All I did was lay down a piece of cloth and duct tape the camera to the tank. By the end of the video, even though the camera had a million layers of duct tape, the view had shifted and the tape was flying around infront of the lens :D

I don't know who the provider is but I must again say - Thanks Coy - you rage!

the place at which i host is connected via 9 redundant t3 lines, to different backbones with internal OC48 and OC12 fiber's within the building to allow for the greatest bandwidth between machines and the internet outside.

Awesome vid dude! I smell an Oscar.... wait... nevermind that's just John. :D

Good vid though.

Did the duct tape leave any residue on the tank when you pealed it off?

Thanks Jester :) and yes it did leave a residue that took some elbow grease to get off. Well worth it though.

Nice work fellow stunt monkey. :thumb: I was pretty impressed how smooth some of those wheelies came up. Whats your prefered method ?

Just power. Back then I used to bring it up alot higher in the Rs than I do now. I can usually bounce it up at about 4,500Rs in 2nd. Somewhere around 6,000 in 3rd.

*bows down*

I'm not worthy.... :D

Seriously though. I didn't see much flux on the tach when some of those came up. So lets see here.... smooth even lifts, with nice control and minimal bike abuse. It's got my vote.
