Wow, all that in one breath. Wel I'm in the military, Not originally from here. Went to the GAP last year, definitly going again this year. We usually go to irvington, AL and race at the drag strip. I'm dying to get on a real track, but I'm gonna have to spring for the rest of the gear, it's quite expensive. well i'll get back with later.

I got my bachelor's degree at Troy State in 2000, now I live in Albany, GA, about two hours east. I didn't know there were any sportbikes in Troy except for my fraternity brother's R6. . .

Yeah, when are all of you guys coming to Mobile again? Just joking with you, it's too cold and there's nothing to do here lately, so you're not missing much. Besides, I wouldn't expect you guys to ride from Timbuktu to Podunk, Alabama just to see a furred out CBR 1100 XX that can stoppie all day but can't wheelie for ****.

I've awakened the beast

Well went 18,000 miles on the same plugs, and air filter. I know how much of a pain it is to do plugs on this thing. Well finally did it. Thought I was just used to the Bird. Well with new plugs and filter, bet I regained at least 20+ hp. She now power wheelies in second, just bring her to 7g's and pop the throttle, she stands up like a good little girl. Feels just like a first gear power wheelie, just not as violent. Never would have thought that I had lost that much power, she seemed to run just fine. Can't wait for the next day at the track.

Headhunter, I'm from Troy and looking for someone to ride with. I think I have seen you once, but I was in a hurry so I could not stop.

Oh yeah, a guy that lives across the street from me just bought a 2002 R1 so he is looking to get some miles in to.

i was in troy last friday afternoon on my bike. if you're going down wallace (from 231 to campus), there's a house on the right that has a what appears to be a yellow Ninja 250 in the garage. I was in a hurry, so i didn't check it out. On my way out, I saw a Kawi of some sort, with a guy in a dark tshirt riding it. I was on my purple 500r. I may be over that way a couple of times in the next month or so to ride with a group out of dothan; i'll try to keep you posted.

I think I've got just over 16,000 on the clock. However, you've probably had your bike longer than I've had mine too. I got mine in April of 2000, and it was a brand new 1999 model. How long have you had yours?

I'll ride (almost) any distance as well. As long as I don't have to ride in formation, I can go about 100 miles or so no problem without too much discomfort.

Bought my 99' right out of the crate, between Aug and Oct 2000. I haven't had a single problem with it yet. Just put a PCII on it, haven't had enough time on it to notice much, seems to make the midrange more managable/predictable.

Hey, we've been doing the drag strip, but this last sunday, I met up with the guys from Ft Walton took about 45 min to get to our destination, but was worth it. The boring ride weeded out most of the inexperienced riders. Once we got there it was an awsome fast paced ride once we got there. We should be doing it again this sunday, hit me up if your interested.

Man, I'd be game except that Noah and his faithful ship are going to be showing up at Easter this year. Sorry man, but furry bikes, rain, and curvy roads don't mix. Although, I can ride wheelies in the rain........
