Does anyone have those numbers for a comparison between physician accidental death rates and motorcycle accidental death rates. I have seen the one about handguns all over the place. And I know I saw one about motorcycles on the net somewhere.

There was a study done called, ironically enough, The Hurt Study, around LA, they got data from about 2000 accidents involving bikes...
I think thats what its called.

No, I believe he's talking about just the little statistical snippet that compares the number of accidental deaths caused by physicians each year to the number of motorcycle-related deaths each year, humorously, and somewhat cynically, implying that it is more dangerous to go to the doctor than ride a motorcycle. I don't believe that that was included in the Hurt Report.

Vector, ever since you posted your question, I've been looking around for that damn thing. I had it saved somewhere, but can't put my finger on it.

Gosh golly, anyhoo, find the Hurt Study, read the 70 page summary, its informative (duh, what else can you say about research data??!!)
