Following on from my post in the pictures section, here is a follow up on one of the great people involved in bringing our pastime into the future.

If you have not heard of John Britten, or did not know much about him or his bike, have a look at this site.

Ross,

The photos just don't do that bike justice. It was/is a true piece of engineering art. The bike is ugly until you get to look at it up close. I had the pleasure of seeing that thing up close at Road Atlanta here in the States when Nick Ienatch(sp) was racing it in FUSA. They wouldn't even run it in the rain because of fear of crashing. But he did crash it on Sunday but not to much damage.

When Britten died we lost a true inovator. :(

Did you look at the photos in the photos section? there is plenty of close up's taken by a friend of mine yesterday, at the museum of NZ, in Wellington.

the views and opinions expressed by tony (cbrf2boy) are the ramblings of a total idiot. sbw.com, it's administrators, moderators, and members don't necessarily agree with and are not responsible for anything this idiot has to say.
I remeber when that thing debued at Daytona.
Landmark - Nuff Said. Props to all the little
men out there!

I did see the pictures. I was glad you started this thread since I couldn't respond on the Photos forum. :)
