This is a 250cc GP racer. The engine is obviously 4 stroke 4 cylinder with double OHC.
Those days this design wasn't so common. Can you find what it is?

I don't know

I seem to think it's a Honda. They were one of the only ones to be using 4 cyl 4 strokes in the 1960's for the 250 GP racing. But I can't find one with the cowl off so I am just guessin.
Well now I don't think it's a Honda, because of the right hand chain.

OK here are some hints.
It isn't a Honda, it's Italian. But it isn't a Gilera or Mondial....
I hope this was NOT helpful enough :)

Aris you found some really difficult ones again.

Is it a Benelli?
I'm not saying anything to you Andy!!!!
You'll find it immediately and then I'll be looking for another trivia! :crying:

OK, only this time....No it's not a Benelli ;)

Here is a picture of the complete bike.
As I was checking on the net about this bike, I could only find one picture :) so I decided to help you alittle bit.
To be honest I didn't know of such a bike....it may be a special bike!

Alright one more try

Ok so I am blurry eyed but I may have an answer. It's a shot in the dark because I cannot find any pictures to back this up. But Moto Guzzi made a short burst of air cooled 4 cyl. 250 cc motorcycles. So thats my last attempt at this one. It is difficult, congratulations!

Well, it'snot the Guzzi 4, but it appears to be a specially made bike, much like the MV Agusta 6 cylinder trivia 'Red Beauty'.
This brand is not famous for building inline 4s anyway...(hint)

How's about another clue Aris.

So far we can exclude Moto Guzzi, Benelli, Gilera, and Mondial.

Aris said it is Italian. Is the company still in business? Is it a Ducati?

Yes it is!
Andy if you look hard you will find it in the same site that shows the MV special I posted recently. Ducati never built a 250 4 cylinder, lilke MV never built a 6 cylinder...so it's a special ;)
