They finally have more photos and info on the new ZX10R. I really like it except for may the headlight design. And the front signals are in a wierd spot, on the mirror stalk instead of on the front side of the mirrors like other brands. At least they are differentiating themselves a lot this time around, even if it isn't the best looking bike at least it doesn't resemble another brand much which is a really good think in my opinion. So check it out and post up what you think of it. There aren't many details on hp/torque so we'll have to wait for that but hopefully its really good.

Although sure to be technically superior, I liked the styling better on the 06-07 ZX-10R.

But hey- check out that ALL NEW Ninja 250! What a difference!

this part from their website stuck out to me...
<---------
Professional riders know it’s useless to have the most power if you can’t get it to the ground. The 2008 Ninja ZX-10R features a new ignition system that assists with torque management by monitoring throttle opening, gear position and rate of RPM change, then retarding ignition timing to reduce torque when sudden unwanted RPM spikes are detected. This system doesn’t interfere with normal operation and still allows the engine to rev freely under typical riding conditions.
---------->

sounds like a variation of a traction control system...on a production bike! :jawdrop:

Thats not traction control, anymore than suzukis selector switch is traction control.
A traction control system has to monitor wheel speed, and compare to ground speed (ussually by measuring the speed of the front wheel), anything else is just a cheap band aid.

Man I completely forgot about that key part of the system. Hmm, still wonder how well the system is going to work though..

ZX10R

I love it and have already received a quote! Step two is convincing the wife!!!! I love the new look and will like the side mount exhaust after I take off the big hexagon looking muffler and put on the after market one! Just don't know if I stay with all black again to match the ZX6R, or go with the green, which I love.

I don't really like the look very much, but it is different than pretty much everyting else. I am getting an '08 1000 next week. Still torn between the Ninja and the Gixxer. Prolly won't really decide until I walk into the dealership!!!

Just saw a test on the 2008 ZX-10R in a British bike mag a few days ago. 170 rear wheel horsepower on the dyno!

That is some SERIOUS power.

Man the bike looks sweet except for that ugly exhaust, i read a review as well and it got a rap. Hopefully Kawi has finnaly built a bike to match or even beat the Gixxer thou.
