It is getting close to the first reasonable "event" for us PNW riders, that being someone's Daytona party.

Last year I attended the WSR party at Funsters and it was a blast! Would be great if there's actually a race this year (and not rained out like last year...). Not sure if that is happening again.

Ducati Seattle usually has one at Jillians, across the street. Cool place and probably a great party, too.

Champs Karting is having one as well. Aside from lack of seating, taking in some karting would beat the hell out of darts or blackjack at other places. As there is racing most all morning, sitting down would grow in importance.

I know there are a few of us from Seattle that use this board. Lets meet up!

Jim,

The place to be will be Champs Karting.

There are 40-50 of us locals that will be converging for Daytona. They are going to allow us to run the pocketbikes on the kart track and will be raffling off a pocketbike as well.

Should be good times!!:D

competition

Ducati party info----------------------------------------

Our 5th Annual Daytona 200 Party will be on Saturday, March 6th - at
Jillian's, of course.

Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for breakfast. This year you won't have to stand in
line...just get seated, present your ticket to the server and breakfast will
be served.

For those not having breakfast, you can arrive a little later - 10:15 a.m.
Racing starts at 10:30 a.m. and goes to 1:30 p.m. Jillian's regular menu
starts at 11:00 a.m.

Advance ticket sales available at Jillian's or DucatiSeattle.
$8.00 gets you breakfast and a shot at nice door prizes.

Door prizes provided by: Avon, Griot's Garage, DucatiSeattle and more!

We will be showing the race on a big screen in the showroom.

But wait - there's more...

We have invited GP Suspension's own Dave Hodges (www.gpsuspension.com) to
come up from Oregon and conduct a seminar on setting up your bikes
suspension! Wow! Dave is the Man when it comes to the science of motorcycle
suspension and we couldn't be happier to have him here in our showroom for
the afternoon. If you want to get the most out of your bike - on the track
or on the street - you need to be here for this.

And he's willing to actually set up 2 - 4 bikes as examples of the
difference a properly dialed-in suspension can make. This is a free event,
open to riders of all skill levels. See you there.

Sounds like either way is a sure bet for a good time... but Champs is letting us run the pocketbikes and I have 20-40 guys that I ride with that will be showing up... so it is an easy choice for me.

If you go to Jillian's, post up and let us know how it was.

Both DO sound fun, but I have no pocketbike to race and suspect Jillians will have a higher "chair to occupant" ratio.

There's a lot of racing to watch, you know!

Are you going to take some pics of the pocket bike mania? It would be very fun to watch.
