I didn't get a test drive, but I got to examine this new Buell and was pretty impressed with what I saw. The XB9R has a much more promising look than previous models. Erik has definately made a unique machine.

The only thing I really observed was the weight. I sat on it on for a few moments and shaking it back and forth I noticed a much much heavier center of gravity compared to my 600. The gixxer feels more like an overweight mountain bike. The XB9R center of gravity felt more like my Hayabusa than my 600. I would not put money on the Hayabusa in the twisites. Granted weight isn't the only factor in figuring a bikes handling capabilities, I would make an educated guess that a 3 inch narrower wheel base will not offset 35 lbs of extra weight and a weak motor (by comparison to an R6 or GSX-R600), But I was impressed.....it's very unique...Buell fans defiantely have something to look forward to :)

All ride safely:)

I got the chance to test drive one a few weeks ago. It carves turns like its nobody's business! The bike handles like a dream. The only problem is my 21 year old KZ-1100 has more top end then it. The firebolt seriously needs to see some V-Rod power!
