Does anyone know how to tell a 1994 ZX-7 from a 7R? I saw a bike today with ZXR printed on the tachometer face. When I asked the owner about it he said the R model is made with a solo seat.If that is correct did Kawasaki print ZXR on the tach of all the 1994 ZX-7S/7RS?
Ys, Kawasaki printed ZXR on all the guages. I have a 1995 ZX-7 and that confused me to start with also. The difference is that the R models have a solo seat, Aluminum gas tank, Flatslide carbs among other racing accessories. They also put out more horsepower, about 20 more! The R model you are refering to is a K-1. Hope that helps.

95% of Harley Davidsons are still on the road today,
5% actually made it home!
