I recently bought a Seca XJ900 from somebody with the intention
of fixing it up and using it. However, after some thought, since
this is going to be my first bike I thought that starting out with
something this powerful might not be the brightest idea I've had.
So now I have this bike and I’m looking to put it on the market. I
know there are people out there looking for parts for this bike
but I am going to try for an “as is” ad first before I start parting it
out. Where would the best place to advertise be for this type of
item??
For a quick description of the bike; the front fork is bent and front
fender is cracked, small dent in gas tank, drivers right peg &
passengers left peg are broken off. That’s the worst of it for the
most part.

hey chief, I'm going to assume you have never riden any bike before right? and with the bent forks you obviously haven't riden the seca 900 right?

ok first there aren't enough of us guys out there riding old shcool bikes anymore and the secas are cool bikes and easy to work on.

as far as being to powerful, its not. it isn't a slow bike, but its not fast. what you gotta realize is its an air cooled engine, and its not like moder sportbikes. my bike is a 750, but because it's air-cooled it only makes 70hp, so it would be better compaired to a water-cooled 500.

your bike is an air-cooled 900 so its more like a water-cooled 600 which could make a good beginer bike as long as you respect it!!!
