tech32 We've all "known better" plenty of times in our lives, but we still do things we shouldn't at times. That "kid next door" seems to always have a negative influence. We are torn between doing what we know is right, and what we want to do.
All I'm saying is that I don't want to be someone else's tempter, or bad influence. If the temptations are restricted, or taken away, then parents would have an easy job, but that isn't the case. Kids are easily swayed one way or the other. It IS the parents job to keep them in check, but it DOES NOT HELP to have that neighborhood kid constantly pulling the other way at the kid. Temptation is often leathal. I don't want to be the temptor, nor do I want my friends to be, or any of you. That's my view. I don't disagree with anything that has been said from you guys, but I feel my point is not interpreted like I meant it.
After all, who needs police officers (parents), if there were no criminals (evil society's ways) and everyone was good from the beginning.......until Eve dooped Adam.....ooops, getting off subject...

So there are two sides to the situation. One, you have no good parenting. We agree. Two, if the parents don't teach good habits and morals, then society's ways will influence them.

I gotta disagree. To me those are the same thing. Either parents dont teach, then that is bad parenting. Or if they teach their kids poorly and then the kids go sour, then that too is bad parenting. The lessons etc either were not taught properly or not truly taught. Either way the parents are to blame. Even my dogs know not to crap in the house, it is wrong. But if they were never taught not to then I alone would be to blame for not teaching them the proper way to use the toilet and flush. They are smart!

I get just as frustrated by the slower citizens as well.

Try moving to Florida. Or AZ from what I hear.

It is NOT society's job to instill values to your child. Parents these days just sit their kids in front of a TV and expect them to turn out OK. Or better yet, they bitch about what's on TV not being suitable for that task. What this country needs is a big ****ing clue.
Ok, maybe I didn't get my point across. I agree with everything you just said. All I was saying is that the kids will learn their shit from somewhere. I don't want that somewhere to source back to me or my friends. The reality is that many parents don't have a clue and they do just what you said, Rugburn. My comments regard those individuals who aren't being taught and cared for and so on, by their parents, and even those who are. I don't believe that parents teach kids how to be criminals (well, some do unfortunately)-they learn that from society in general. So there are two sides to the situation. One, you have no good parenting. We agree. Two, if the parents don't teach good habits and morals, then society's ways will influence them, often times for the worse, depending on the crowd and circumstances. If kids don't look up to their good parents, then who are they going to look up to and be influenced by? TV, other hooligans, gangs etc, etc......
Society. That is my point. I didn't mean it to sound like I was blaming anyone, I wasn't.............................

Oh, and 748_Abuser, we'll all be old and pokey someday, hopefully.... Will you cap yourself before it comes to that? All in fun, don't throw a tantrum.

As my Latino pool-cleaner would say...
"Meester Clark." Eeet's time to cull thee herd!"
ROFLMAO!!

So if we set forth bad influence in our society, then we contribute to its corruption, nowingly or not.

Seriously LMAO. Now that's some funny sh!t. Thomas, the only people responsible for that impressionable youth are his ****ing parents; not a bunch of slackers on SBW.

tech32 So, I guess if any of you ever cut someone off, by accident, just did not see them in your blindspot because you were looking at the scantily clad chick in the mall parking lot, and came close to causing a wreck, but did not mean it, then the person you just cut off should have every reason to "cap his ass"??? People make mistakes, it happens to us all. Some people need to realize this and not be so gun happy. I know that it takes a BIG man to cap a grandma, so we should all look for the opportunity.

"Hey, she's slowing me down! Cap her!"
Guns are for protection, not retaliation. To shoot someone for attempting to scare you by swerving is not necessary. A bike can get away. And lane splitting along with causing backfires is just asking for trouble.
Idiots on both sides of the line.
