why not just do it yourself? replacing a seal is silly easy. If you want I'll walk you thru it (did the same job on the exact same bike) you need maybe $100 worth of specialty tools ($50 for a seal driver that you could get away with not buying, but I wouldnt. the spring compressor could be got for maybe another $50, or you can rig something yourself) the seal is like $30, and however much oil you need.

Fork seal blown at 4500 miles!
So I went out into my garage last week to find a puddle of oil beneath the left front fork of my 2005 ZX-10R.. I don't do wheelies, don't do stoppies, never laid it down, and don't ride in the rain if I can help it. I got those out of my system with my 2001 zx 6r!
Took it to the dealership, and they denied my claim without even talking to Kawasaki, despite my purchase of an extended warranty at the dealership. I know this because I called Kawasaki customer support, and they said there had been no inquiries on my VIN.
Called the dealership back and requested (nicely) that they call Kawasaki to see if they would make an exception because it is so close to the 1 yr warranty expiration. Dealer said no go.
I called Kawasaki back, and as soon as the guy saw my warranty was expired by two months, he started getting rude. He said because I didn't purchase the "kawasaki" extended warranty, they will NOT cover it. When asked for details on how the "kawasaki" warranty is different, he started getting really rude.
Do I have any hopes of not having to shell out $300 on a near-brand new bike?
