RCjohn I've never replaced them but I've never owned any of my bikes that long and they've never been stored directly in the weather.

It probably doesn't need them but if you are doing the plugs anyway then go ahead and spend a few extra bucks. I would suggest going through the local Kawasaki dealer for new plugs.

Compstall Hehe, I used to own a '78 CX500 Honda that I finally sold last summer after 16 years of ownership. It still had the factory wires on it and ran like a top.

arruda14 Thanks Sepias, yea I think the bike was maintained pretty well by the past owner, i have all the history and everything but I noticed the wires were never replaced and I thought I read somewhere that wires on older bikes should be replaced. Anyway, thanks for your input and a great tip about cleaning b4 taking the plugs out

SepiasSoul If the bike has been well kept and isn't giving you problems then I would just do the plugs but past that, ask someone with more experience When you replace the plugs get a can of duster or compressed air and spray down aroung the plugs (with them still in) and up around them before you remove them. I made the mistake of not cleaning well enough and got some dirt in the carbs, not pretty.

Have fun!

Spark plugs/wires

Hey guys/gals. I'm going to be replacing my spark plugs pretty quick on my 94 zx7 and I'm just wondering whether or not I should replace the wires too. Theyre the original wires and Im not sure whether I should replace anything else relating to the spark plugs, etc. Any comments on this situation would be awesome and greatly appreciated. Thanks....
