snickerz I have an 01. Riding it runs about 160 to 180. I made the mistake of riding in a parade 2 years ago. The damn thing was 225-227 for about 15 minutes. I thought it was running lean so I had it jetted after I got a slip on. No change. I was going to try the muzzy fan and a different aftermarket coolant. Haven't got to it yet. One thing for sure it gets hot quick in the summer after a few traffic lights. But from what I've heard it's normal for the model

breeze15 Mine runs at about 150 in 20 to 50 degree weather,. and about 175 degrees in warmer weather. in stop and go traffic the fan will kick in at about 210 if I remember right.

wheelie123 Jesus, that's running pretty hot. My '01 9R runs at around 140 when moving. At 220 the fan kicks in, and that's only in traffic.

Running temp on ZX 9R

I was just wondering if anyone knew what the proper running temp is for a 2001 ZX 9R, mine runs at about 200-220 .
