What he said and then some. You guys get the "cool parents" award for sure by being strong throughout the whole thing. One of these days I look forward to meeting you guys.

I reckon I might as well give an update on Steph then huh

After her first full week at school - she's feeling pretty good.. hasnt' complained of any more headaches... I finally got up the nerve to ask her "if she'd do it all over again if she had the chance... was it worth it?" She amazingly came back without hesitation "YES" oh that made me feel so much better after having seen what she had to go through and with the one one in the front yet needing to be removed also

The brain is an awesome organ... she dont' remember much at all about that week in the hospital after surgery... a true blessing

Steph just celebrated her 12th birthday ( a tad early since it's not till the 12th but I'll be in NJ then ) had a couple of her freinds over for a slumber party and took them to a matinee (without a paddle - awesome movie) and got her ears peirced.. it was so nice to see her smile and enjoying herself and being exactly what a preteen oughta be ~ giggly and bubbly....

The rather large scar on her head has amazingly healed quickly leaving only a slight indentation in her scalp and her hair is slowly growng back making it not quite so noticable from a distance anyways... but the hankerchiefs have been her #1 fashion accessory to help hide the back side of her head .. lucky for her she wears them well and looks quite cute in them

DreamRyder Yes she is a trooper for sure....

Well I got the call yesterday and her surgery is scheduled for Aug 10th... and will be done at the Children's Hospital...

One bit of news that came to my suprise was the second doctor and the board that review the findings had a mutual recommendation of removal of both angiomas due to their size. They felt that both Angiomas were bleeding and causing the problems not just the one in the rear. They felt if both could be taken out easily then it would be best to do so now... what they go by is how close to the surface these things have come and according to the last MRI it appears both are quite near the surface making it easier to get to and not as traumatic to her... but they will only do the removal of the front one if the MRI the morning of the surgery confirms this... so there is a chance she will still only have just the rear one removed and then need to monitor the other...

I will try my best to get word to someone to post after Steph comes out of surger that day to let you know all is well... She will be in ICU for a day after the surgery then a regular recovery room after that and by the 3rd day if all is well she will be released...
