not on a motorcycle!

6. Customer service at dealerships?
I have only dealt with 2 dealers. Once I would rate about a 2; I don't think they took me seriously. Consequently, I did not buy my bike from them. From the other, I would rate an 8-9. They have been very fair and very helpful, I think.

Vanessa 1. First Bike?

'01 R6

2. How was i introduced?

I was always a tomboy wrenchin on cars and doing the "boy" thing, so when my guy friends from high school got bikes it was only natural for me to do the same.

3. What do u currently ride?

I race an '01 R6, I stunt on a '97 GSXR 750, and i use my '00 Ducati 996 for just normal street riding, but considering using it for a race bike also.

4. How long have u been riding?

2yrs.

5. Off road experience?

This past Thanksgiving we purchased two brand new suzuki tz400's. Alot of fun!!

6. Customer service at dealerships?

I'll rate it a 5. When i went to go buy my first bike the salesman kept on trying to convince me out of get an R6 and to get a smaller cc bike. i was pretty pissed. i knew what i wanted, had the cash but because i was a girl he thought i couldnt "handle it". Whether that be true or not i dont think he handled the situation very well.

QuickChick Hope I'm not too late with my info?
#1: Suzuki Katana 600
#2: my husband races his F3, street bike is a Honda 929 and frankly I was tired of looking at the back of his helmet all the time!
#3: Current bike is a Honda CBR F4i - love it!!!!!!!!!
#4: Riding since Sept '02
#5: no off road
#6: I don't have my bike worked on at a dealer but by one of the guys my husband races with who gives me the utmost respect. But when I was purchasing my bikes, I was with my husband so I was treated like I was just there for the hell of it. The only time I was recognized as the buyer was when I actually got on the bike and rode off. There also is very little women's apparel here. If there is a woman working at one of the dealers, then I get in on the conversation. I try, anyway, to be part of it whether or not they will look at me as a serious customer-and I think and can speak fairly intelligently too. So, hope this helps and hope it's not too late! Thanks for YOUR interest!!!!!!!!

Tahoe Thanks for all your replies. When doing market research it is important to have "statistically significant samples". This is very challenging when attempting to survey female riders, as thou art few and far between.

I hope the end result of the overall project yields better choices for you in product selection and service.

BTW: Crotch Rockette (now THAT's a handle), please PM me with the name of the dealership you frequent. The info will remain confidential.

Regards,
Kev
