The new Star Wars movies were, are, and will be pathetic. Lucas isn't counting on having decent acting, he's just counting on being able to animate the dumbest characters with his computers... He's kill a franchise that was once a great series...and turning it into a visual trash heap of a movie series... |

| Hysyde | I haven't seen Star Wars yet, I haven't been to a movie theatre in years, but I did watch Spider-Man on DVD at a friends the other night, and I didn't think it was all that exciting. Not bad though, watchable as far as action movies go. |

| F3Bufford | I've seen both movies, and both are equally awesome with equally cool fight scenes. However the fight sequence when anakin has two sabers gives me chills, but the rain sequence in spiderman (you guys know what I'm talking about) gives me chills as well. And I agree with the whole pop culture thing... but you have to realize that long before star wars came around, stan lee was putting out a best selling comic called Spiderman. |

I saw Star Wars last night and it definetley sets up Episode III. I thought it had some good action sceens in it. IMO: Lucas has done a good job tying in Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi to Episode I and II. Looking to see Spiderman sometime this week as well. I agree with BanditBoy, the Star Wars story has become a part of American culture and I don't think any movie will be able to top it no matter what those "critics" say. |

hopefully this star wars will be better than the last one. the 5 year old kid shit and the fraggle rock characters have to go. something about the childrens version "episode 1" killed the whole thing.

| BanditBoy | I think Star Wars will take it because it's already entrenched in American Pop culture. A second generation is now into it, and it is an established series. BTW I would really like one of those pod racers from the last movie. |
