Bobas They have a whole page on de-decalization in this month's "Motorcyclist" magazine. The one with the new R1 on the cover.

IMO, the man asked a sensible question. One man's "futzing" is another man's time well-spent.

Speaking for myself, my Falco as new had too many warning stickers plastered all over it, including idiotic messages from the safety nanny not to operate the bike while drunk or on drugs, and not to hang stuff on the keychain which could get caught in the triple clamp and cause a crash (duh !). These two were plastered on the tank, right under my nose while riding. And everytime I saw my beautiful bike with these stickers marring the appearance of it, it irritated me. So I took 'em off. To each his own.

old squid Knight,

As long as they're not under the clear coat, shouldn't be too hard to remove. But if they are clearcoated, don't mess with them. Kawi riders will know better than I which are and which aren't.

Park your bike out in the sun for a while, peel an edge and the rest will follow. Sometimes a hair dryer will come in handy on those real stubborn ones to loosen 'em up. My Aprilia was a bitch, 15 warning stickers on it, some kind of funky Italian glue, but I got 'em all off eventually.

Decal Removal

Anyone have any advice for removing some ugly decals? Specifically, the ugly pink "ZX-6R" on my .....6R. AND, the ugly pink lookin' "Ninja" on the tail. Slowly but surely, I WILL make my bike look like a non-stock bike. Ridiculous, yes, but those decals are buggin' me.

NI !!!!!
