Frame and swingarm are polished, and so is the sprocket, brake rotors, and wheel lips. It has a colormatched seat, tank bra and extra scratch gaurd. New V&H full exhaust , geared slightly up (+1 or 2 in the back). Stage 3 jet kit (not sure from who).1k on the rear tire, 2k on the front and comes with another spare NEW front. Blue tinted windscreen, cf tree cover. New signals in the front and rear, clear tailight. 1/4 turn throttle. All new fluids and spare filter and oil for next change. The guy is the manager at a local extreme sports place, that has bike gear. He will also include a set of icon gloves, and hell give me his discount on gear from the shop. He wants 2700 for the bike, and it only has 25k on it contrary to my previous posts. Its a real nicec bike, and i think if i can get him to drop the pricec a touch ill get it.
2700 for that is starting to come in line... I agree, just a wee bit more, and I'd probably bite too...!

Im a far better rider than many of them technically, but im afraid this bike wont put down the power i want. Most of my experiencee isnt with sportbikes tho, so i may be wrong.
Anything shy of an all-out street race, and you can hang with them. I was once told that the average streebike rider will never see the limits of a 600CC bike.

3,100 seems ungodly high. I payed 6400 for a brand new, off the showroom, 0 miles 2003 ZX6R 636 a couple of years back. Give some serious thought to the condition of the bike, and shop around.

Just my , I wouldnt pay 3100 for an early 90s bike with that many miles.

That's sounds a little high. Particularly with 45K on the clock, UNLESS it's like in really good condition and there are quality mods on it. If the mods are mostly cosmetic and he has an aftermarket pipe and a cheap can on it, he can go pound sand. Now, if the aftermarket stuff is like tweaked Ohlins suspension components and properly jetted carbs with a nice exhaust system, then he's probably justified in what he's asking for it.

Hard to say in this case... Need more info on the bike, what he's done to it, etc...

DeeOhHCee thanks for the info, the local papers classifieds suck, but we have this "wisconsin auto and rv" thing that comes out, you can pick it up in like grocery stores and gas stations. It usually has some bikes but mostly from dealers, il check out 9r forums, thanks!

Mystery Squid I'd say you could probably find a decent mid-90's ZX9 for about $3,000 tops...

Don't know about Wisconsin, but here in New England we've got this publication called the "WantAds", basically, a weekly newspaper-like book full of stuff for sale, which usually has a few pages full of used sportbikes in the area. I would think there's an equivalent out there? I could be wrong... I dunno, maybe try checking out some 9R specific forum somewhere, if it's big enough, chances are someone knows something...

DeeOhHCee I should probably mention that i dont necisarily need a hardcore twistie machine or anything, i like them though, but i want to put good miles on the bike so any suggestions of sport touring bikes would be ok too. I like the busa and blackbird but they seem to be big $$ and hard to find in wisconsin

DeeOhHCee hmm, i dont like that movie lol. I went to that 7r owners forum, and i think the bike looked like the 92 or 93 that the had a pic of. I want soemwhat contemporary styling, and something faster than my 450. Im a bit to big for a 600 but i hear ppl say that the size on the 7r is okay for a bigger guy, and its stability is comforting. Im willing to spend a bit more money, and id like a 900cc but this bike for $1300 is pretty good. I dont know any good places to look for bikes, id like something under 3k. How much to mid 90's zx9's go for? Im also getting all new gear, helmet gloves and jacket, pants to come later.
