My First AMA Pro Street Event!

Had hoped to make one of the AMA Pro Street Events last year but something always kept me from makin one...

But March 7 & 8th was it... My FIRST AMA Pro Street Event in Adel, GA (near Valdosta)

It was freakin awesome! The Pro Racers were so cool and offered a helpin hand with anything I needed.

I went without my Crew Chief "Nem" because he couldn't get time off to make the trip as he races as well and needs his days for attending the local series. I was there for me by Phone However which was a huge help.

We had mechanical issues with a new clutch setup not working properly right out of the trailer as well as a radiator leak to deal with so My Times were not exactly what they should have been compared to where I was last year but all in all it was a great experience and I plan to attend more if time and funds allow.

Here's some pics and videos from that weekend.. I'll update as I get more from friends and family that took some as well.

E.

First Round of Qualifying - helpers forgot to turn my air on, no shifter or boost

Second Round of Qualifying - I mishifted from 3 to 4th and launched too soft (clutch still not dialed in enough)

This was not part of the AMA series but yet a Shootout Sponosred by Dunnigan Racing to give the Pro Street folks a lil more track time for the weekend.. This was first round of eliminations - I had a good clean run but clutch still too soft off the line.

First Round of Eliminations - Rookie mistake on my part, got off the gas and back on from the first wheelie which created a worse wheelie after that and lost too much time that the other racer caught up and passed me .. knocking me out of the competition (goes to show you just cuz you have a bad launch don't give up anything can happen for you to still take the win)

Freakin' sweet! Man those reactions are lightnin'. In that second link it sure looks like you're takin' the other racer with a much better launch.
