Valkrye sub 9 sec????

I was just talking to a guy who has a valkrye(sorry if mispelled) with a blower and nitrous and he claims it will do just over 8 sec at 155mph in quarter mile, and in 8th mile he went agains a gsxr 1000 and crossed line while gix had 100 yards to go (barely past half way).. Just wondering if he is telling truth or full of sh*t. I dont know alot about drag racing but this seemed a little far fetchd. oh yeah he says it has a little over 200 hp????????????????????????

You would need more then 200 HP to get a fat turd bike like a valkery down the quarter in less than 9 seconds and 155 seems low for a run that fast, I run 165+ with my bike.

I do a fair amount of drag racing at a local track. It's a 1/8th mile but still drag racing.A friend of mine had a harley that would run 7.00 in the 1/8th.Not sure what model(not a big harley fan)but it was a big bike, fat bob tanks almost like a big cruiser. Not sure what engine mods he had ,but did have nitrous. This bike fooled a lot of people(including myself).Never would have thought that big harley could go that fast. And he road it to the track,no trailer.
At the same time a buddy of mine had a 96 cbr900.All stock that ran 7.10's.Very suprised that big harley could get him.I had a 98 zx9.I could run 6.80's.So one slip up and he had me.
A valkyre is heavy but with a supercharger and maybe nitrous and gearing changes who knows?

Yes I know he said 1/4.I was just saying it could be possible for a valkyre to run that fast. Not sure if it would be very streetable.I used my friends Harley for a slight comparison because I did not think that heavy ,twin could have ran as fast as it did.And this bike was ridden to the track. He never ran the bike on a 1/4 mile track. But a 7.05 in the 1/8th should give about a 10.60 in the 1/4.

Yes a 7.05 should get you around a 10.6 in the quarter if you have the gearing to do it. also that is still about a second and a half from just over 8's as he said and 155Mph requires a lot of HP for such a heavy bike. and unlike Hardly Davisons there are not a lot of sources for hop up part for valkeries and gold wing that make much power. They would have to be custom one off parts than you are talking good money. It takes a lot of HP to take a second and a half off a quarter time that is already in the 10's.
