Question What Brand of Tire Do You Drag Race On?

For all the stright-liners out there!

When you are at the local drag strip, 1/8th or 1/4 mile, really doesn't matter. What brand of DOT tire do you use?

If i did it all the time a M/T Shoot out tire would be the way to go but since there not a milage tire i'll deal with my 010s
On the dragbike M/T all the way!!!

Talking

On the ZX-6E we run METZLER RENNSPORT RC2 road race "take-offs" @ 25-28 psi.. The "E" is set-up to meet 600SS Rules & also competes in Pro/ET!

On the ZX-12R the MICKEY THOMPSON MCR2 is spun. That is by far the ultimate in "drag race" compound available and is set anywhere between 7-11 psi.. The 12 is in the StreetBike Shootout Category! Soon to be turbo equipped....

On the GS1100ES the only tire that we can find anywhere is the GOODYEAR Competition Slick. This bike is wheelie bar & turbo equipped and competes in the Pro/ET Category.

"Turn & Burn"!

I have a good supply of race takeoffs from roadracing if you are interested. Almost 100% tread in the middle but well worn on the sides. Michelin Race or Donlop 208's. $75-$125 per set depending on wear. Email me at [email protected] if interested. - Geoff
