Question Car wax, spray-on or what?

What do you folks use to "wax" your bike? I have a 98 F3 with all sorts of plastic bodywork. Bodywork looks like it is molded in correct color, not painted. Does this mean I use rub-on/rub-off car wax, is spray on stuff ok or should I go for Armor-all?

Plexus is for plastic, but not for paint, much like Armor-All.

Spray-on auto detailer is for paint, but not for plastic.

I cleaned 850 miles of bugs off front yesterday after 2 trips around Mt Rainier and would like to clean fairing up nice AND make it easier for the next thousand bugs to be removed.

Let me know

I've used the HONDA brand spray cleaner/ polish. Works great!

The older I get,
The better I was.

Thumbs up Honda Polish!!

The Honda polish works like a champ. I ride from San Diego out into the desert to El Centro (about 120 miles). Doesn't sound like much, but that portion of the desert has the most bugs per square inch that I've ever seen!!

The Honda spray takes them right off. Occassionally, I'll have to use a little extra elbow grease, but generally they come right off. It's $4.99 a can at both of the bike shops I shop at. I've been using it at least once a week for two months now, and there's still some left for at least one more app. It'll work on your helmet and face shield too.

Honda or Kawasaki spray cleaner whichever is cheaper. Based on the packaging/label, I'd say they're made by the same 3rd party, and both seem to work the same.
Also might wanna try Lemon Pledge. Nuttin' wrong with being cheap, and darn if I don't catch myself using it often. I also use either Meguiar's or Eagle 1 Instant Detailing products.
It never hurts to have a small arsenal!

All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by.
'Course, if there's a hot tub at the end of a long day in the saddle, who am I to complain?

Might want to be careful with the pledge. I have a good friend that was telling me the marina use to recommend that for boats as well... but over the years they have changed the chemical composition of it and now it actually tends to remove the clear coat they put on boats. I will try to get the information from him to post here about it. The post came from someone that claimed to have helped develop the original formula so my buddy checked it out and yes, this guy's name was on their website. Seems to be legitimate.
