My senerio

hey guys here is my senerio. I have read tons of lit on Motorcycling and safety, etc. I am also taking the MSF course in Oct. My issue is that I am 6'2 270, now I have sat on both 500cc bikes and some 600 as well. I do realize and understand the reasoning and logic behind starting small and am prepared to do soif that is the best option. My main question, is the Ninja 6 or650r absolutely the wrong bike to start on? I do find it far more comfortable than a GS500? Im transferring to NC soon so I will be waiting until maybe March 09 to actually purchase a good used bike but I would love your input on this.

Suzuki SV650 or Kawi 650R are market competitors, so sit on both. Or find a nice early 90's 600 (F2/3/4) that fits you well. You could also put on aftermarket rearsets and drop the pegs markedly since the reduced clearance in cornering isn't likely to matter for at least a year.
