So I'm going to learn on a hayabusa

JUST KIDDING!

But while we are on the topic of hayabusa, can anyone tell me the top speed on one? It's not really important it's just to satisfy my curiosity.

On the first of 2nd yr I think a tuner had the bike wound up to 298+mph, but only one way & going home to do some more work on it as he felt he could reach just over 300mph.

This bike was 100% legit & street legal & so in riding home a cage ran into him & he did some days or weeks after.

One fast bike. In the town I used to live in, last season, a *lifer* cocky bastard decided to get one of these for his first bike. He spent most of the summer standing by it and ragging on me for my old bike whenever I would find myself in the same parking lot. I try not to ride much in town, a waste of bike, so thankfully that was rare.

At the end of the season two bikes drove by him on the highway and, wanting to show off the sweetness of his bike, he cracked the throttle to catch up. Somehow he ended up in the ditch (all the roads there are very, very straight...), but luckily the dealer had thrown in a two piece suit with the bike and he must've thought it made him look cooler so he was wearing it at the time.

End of story, the 'Busa is in pieces somewhere and he's back to driving a rusty pickup... I'm pretty sure he hasn't finished paying for the bike.

Rough shit.

You sound infinately smarter than that guy

Don't You mean KMH? 190 MPH Bone stock with a TRE on it at sealevel is common. Jon Noonan just kissed 260 on one at Bonneville (turboed)
