Salvage bikes, and insurance

I'm thinking of getting my first bike after I pass the MSF test and get my license hopefully in the next few weeks.

I have been looking at bikes and was wondering if wrecked bikes are a good first buy... ones only with body damage no bent forks or functional damage. Wouldn't these make a good first bike in case u do dumb it when you're learning? and can't the body be fixed up fairly cheaply....

Also whats insurance like.... where can i get a quote for motorcycle insurance. What type of coverage do you guys get? Do u carry it all year round or just for the summer ridding season?

Finally whats a good cc range for beginner and will last a good couple years b/f getting bored... like 700cc?

You are such a smart ass, but I completely agree.
